Dr. Xiongping Zhang specializes in scientific data assimilation, analysis, visualization and internet mapping. He has extensive experience in application of GIS for coastal and marine environment. He has many years experience in designing, implementing and maintaining the ocean observation and forecast system. Dr. Zhang also has extensive experience in many computer programming languages, beach survey, in-situ ocean data collection, sediment analysis, and numerical hydrodynamic modeling.
