   Qualifications
Eileen has a strong background in marine science including marine ecology and physical/biological estuarine dynamics. She specializes in plankton community dynamics and food web interactions. During her previous position she investigated the link between the coastal ocean and estuarine plankton communities in Washington. A prior position at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center had her researching the gelatinous zooplankton food web and the potential impacts of introducing a new species of oyster to the Chesapeake Bay.
