Dr. Kim is a physical oceanographer at Applied Science Associates (ASA) specializing coastal processes including particle transport dynamics. In addition to specialties in hydrodynamics, he has broad experience in interdisciplinary research on various environmental issues in coastal and estuarine systems. He has also conducted extensive research on aggregation processes of cohesive particles in the water column based on video analysis from underwater video systems. Recently, he is interested in the development of a model for simulating cohesive sediment transport which includes particle aggregation processes.
