Desalinization Discharge

Highly saline effluent from desalinization plants and other industries impact receiving waters, both directly in terms of raising the salinity and indirectly in its effect on dissolved oxygen. ASA uses combined field and modeling studies to identify important processes in the receiving water body and to predict highly saline effluent impacts on the environment. Results from this type of analysis can support permitting decisions and assess alternate discharge techniques.
